PARENTS IN CHARGE
Children are a blessings from the LORD God. Nothing comes easy while raising children, because they come with the same kind of freewill that their parents have.

From Ordinary to Great
Five characteristics of a potential leader

Parents, you are in charge. You are obligated as primary educators of your children, especially in matters of revealing God's law and faith. You form the conscience of your children. You instill discipline, curiosity and a hunger for learning.
Parenthood comes with responsibilities and privileges, joys and duties, but the greatest part is the partnership with the LORD God, "Called to give life, spouses share in the creative power and fatherhood of God" (Ephesians 3: 14; Matthew 23: 9)

"The home is the natural environment for initiating a human being in solidarity and communal responsibilities. Parents should teach children to avoid the compromising and degrading influences which threaten human societies" (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 2224).

Be assured, Latch Key programs, the school, the peer group, the media and entertainment industry will fill in where parents do not. Parents fill their children with Christian standards and expectations by being filled with the Holy Spirit to lead, teach, comfort, guide and protect the family -- creating the next generation of Christians. Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find, says Sacred Scripture.
Natural law is written on the human heart AND nature itself proves the wonders of Our Creator God. Through reason and faith  we learn who we are to one another and our Father; we learn the value of life, how some mysteries are meant to remain wondrous, and how important we are merely by being called into existence. We are here. We will never die. Therein, we are met with the importance of decision, in each day and especially for parents raising a family.

And the WORD was made Flesh and dwelt among us

                        We dare not compromise.
His Ways are not our ways. (Isaiah 55: 8)
He will teach us His Ways (Isaiah 2:3)
He will direct our ways (Isaiah 45: 13

"These are my orders: Listen to my voice, then I will be your God and you shall be my people. Follow right to the end the way that I mark out for you,
and you will prosper" (Jeremiah 7: 23)

Be ye not ignorant of the fullness of Truth -- God's Wonders, His Word, His Will and His Ways because we have to get through time and into our Eternal Inheritance.  Parents are asked to give their children a good start in life. When we study the Word of God, we obtain every advantage in our assignments. We will die if we are ignorant of the battle that wages against all that is holy, against all innocence. Call it all WORK!

Catechism of the Catholic Church, # 777
"The word 'Church' means 'convocation.' It designates the assembly of those whom God's Word 'convokes,'  i.e. gathers together to form the People of Christ, and who themselves, nourished with the Body of Christ, become the Body of Christ."

THE LORD GOD SPEAKS TO US
"Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."     (Matthew 28: 16-20)

We are asked to:
  • faithfully recognize God's Word as His Absolute Order
  • to value the Gift of Faith as our First-Love
  • to defend the Gift of Life and Faith by word and action
  • to accept God's blessings, grace, mercy, forgiveness, the Ten Commandments, God's Salvation Plan and Promises
  • to embrace the Authority of the Church, Sacred Scripture, Sacred  Tradition, Church Doctrines, Dogma andThe Creed.
ALL THAT EXISTS COMES FROM HIM;
ALL IS BY HIM AND FOR HIM.
TO HIM BE GLORY FOR EVER! AMEN.

ENCOURAGING SCRIPTURE:

"Call to me, says the LORD, and I will answer;
I will tell you things great beyond reach of your knowledge.
For surely, I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you." (Jeremiah 33: 3)

We are fallen and can make mistakes, believing what we might prefer. Be ye careful.

"Do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4: 1)

"The heavens are My throne, the earth is my footstool. What kind of house can you build fo rme; what is to be my resting place? My hand made all these things when all of them came to be, says the LORD." (Isaiah 66:1, 2a)

"Light is sweet! and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun." (Ecclesiastes 11:7)

"The heavens proclaim His justice, and all peopples see His Glory." (Psalm 97:6)

"Your's O Lord, are grandeur and power, majesty, splendor, and glory. For all in heaven and on earth is yours; yours, O Lord, is the sovereignty; You are exalted as Head of all." (I Chronicles 29: 11)

The WORD of God is near you, on your lips and in your heart because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The scripture says,

"No one who believes in him will be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him. For, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans 10: 8-13)

LEARN TRUTH TO BELIEVE IT -- KNOW TRUTH TO DIE FOR ITEACH DAY AND NIGHT, OUR THOUGHTS GUIDE OUR WORDS AND ACTIONS.

WE ALONE DECIDE HOW TO GOVERN OUR FREEWILL
BY MAKING CHOICES AND DECISIONS, TAKING CARE OF OURSELVES AND OTHERS, GIVING AND FORGIVING.

HUMANITY IS CREATED IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. THIS IS A GIFT TO US. WE ARE WONDERFULLY MADE, BUT STRIVING TO BE HOLY IS A CONSTANT STRUGGLE -- AND OBLIGATION.
WE NEED ONE ANOTHER IN THE PROCESS.

WITHOUT THE LORD GOD WE CAN DO NOTHING. WE ARE ALIVE AND WELL ONLY BY HIS POWER AND THROUGH OUR OBEDIENCE. WE DESERVE LESS BUT RECEIVE EVERYTHING THROUGH HIS AGAPE LOVE.

OUR FAITHFULNESS GUARANTEES GOD'S HAND OF PROTECTION UPON US!

"And they cried to one another in this way,
"Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth.
His glory fills the whole earth."
  (Isaiah 6: 3)

"OH LORD, GOD OF HOSTS, WHO IS LIKE YOU? MIGHTY ARE YOU, O LORD, AND YOUR FAITHFULNESS SURROUNDS YOU." (PSALMS 89:9)

These are the days of confusion alongside opulence, dividing the rich and the poor in body, heart, mind and spirit.  We are busy, misled, distracted and preoccupied with our preferences.  Therein, we must beware, be awakened to discern every issue, every presentation, even sometimes from the pew. Wisdom, knowledge and understanding comes to those who ask the LORD: "But if any of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask it of God, who gives abundantly to all men, and does not reproach; and it will be given to him: James 1: 5).

Together we journey, we seek and find. Let us become all that God intended for us -- from the beginning.

"...make every effort to undergird your virtue with faith, your discernment with virtue, and your self-control with discernment; this self-control, in turn, should lead to perseverance, and perseverance to piety, and piety to care for your brother, and care for your brothers, to love"  (2 Peter 1: 5-7).

PSALM 67

2  May God be gracious to us and bless us; may God's face shine upon us. Selah
3 So shall your rule be known upon the earth, your saving power among all the nations.
4 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you!
5 May the nations be glad and shout for joy; for you govern the peoples justly, you guide the nations upon the earth.
6 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you!
7 The earth has yielded its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.
8 May God bless us still; that the ends of the earth may revere our God.
